If you know what you want and you know who you are then there's no stopping you to get it If you say what you mean and you do what you say you'll live life so you won't regret it Oh but if you hide from what's right lie to yourself in the night then you'll never catch sight of the light and you'll wonder what went wrong chasing shadows all along thirty years of thirty songs to deny Try and heal someone's pain, everyone can give advice but that we are someone too, we forget it 'cause if I mean what I say and I say what I do then my word should help me too, if I let it Oh but when I cross a sacred line disconnect my heart from mind then I leave myself behind over time and the fog comes pouring in and the blood drains from my skin creeping numbness where passion has been Do i know who i am? Do I find a mockingbird? Do I listen to my soul, or ignore it? For if I know for what i dream like the nightingale I'll sing this vision through the night, I'll live for it Oh but if you listen to the voice there's no inevitable choice 'cause we each have a decoy we deploy But when the moon gives way to sun in your hands the smoking gun then you'll be the only one on the run

PITCH Politician serenade; throw out words like no-one's business, but its ours. Don't realise the gravity of what you say, you're playing with our lives my dears, when you made that first decision wasn't it to change the world for better? And its so sad, such a shame, too damn easy to pass the blame. We can go so far, but we're so far gone. Why don't we all just try and right one wrong, yeah try to right one wrong "Rosy glasses" is what they'll say. So sweet but she really doesn't have a clue; the magnitude of where we're at can't be undone by just a conscious few. Why not? Why shouldn't the seeds of change be ours to sow? A little green in which our kids can grow... One fat check to the collective human superstore, more potential than we give ourselves credit for, more heart, more soul beyond what you can debit for, fancy buying something priceless? Save up for a little peace of mind. Still I don't know what to do, seems we never run out of a cheek to turn; a bandaid on a slit neck, just you sit back, let the ground soak up your blood... tough luck! So my nicer living my side of the fence, but no wonder we've got enemies, if this is how we treat our friends... ----

You never know just what he'll say, You never know just what he'll do today If I were you I'd keep out of his way, Just incase, just incase Find a quiet place inside, and like a mouse you'll go in there to hide No sense in crying - that I've tried, just incase, just incase Unpredictability Amygdala triggers in me A fear overwhelms and impedes my sense and sensibility Do it right you'll get a smile, live it up while you are friday's child And you can basque in warmth of glorious pride, Just you wait, just you wait Do it wrong you know you will, His reputation on the line to kill, Stakes so high that it will make you ill, just you wait, just you wait Clouds roll in and the sky darkens, I am blind and I'm at sea, Treading water while the white horses gather to stampede, the eye is glinting, and the wind hurls a ferocious energy Weather the storm, nerves frayed and torn, see whether the storm, will drown me... Then he turns and the clouds lift And the atmosphere suddenly shifts Start to wonder if you're loosing it, toe the line, toe the line To the outside you're lucky, To the outside money means 'happy', Honour and obey your family, Toe the line, toe the line...

Cold November days But not so cold To chase the thoughts of you away So out I go alone I wrap up warm Find fun in the storm And there it is, There it’s always been: The reason to go on Beams hurl through the clouds, Light up the Thames Dazzle the corners of my mind As tourists wave from boats, Jaw set the row man cuts through their wake And here it is, Here it’s been all this time: The reason to go on Oh look at me, Look at where I’m coming from Oh listen up, Don’t know where I’m going to Oh hoped that we, We would find our way together But now I’m left with nothing else to do but Find meaning, Mean something, Sometimes it’s Good to wonder through these crazy streets alone, Good to know I find reasons to go on, all on my own Seems like movie scenes, To watch us folk From where the seagulls duck ‘n dive We all create so much, Market stalls bursting with all that love And this right here, This is how it is: The reason to go on

Once we heard someone else's song of sorrow And it made us cry Now you've broken my heart And I can barely breath, And I can barely smile, And it's my turn to write my song of sorrow And I wonder if you'll even bat an eye, Yes I wonder if you'll stop a while to cry Once I learned someone else's piece of triumph And you seemed so proud But now your eyes tell me nothing And now I scream with pain And now I curse all that I am 'Cause there's no one to write a song of triumph As I dared to take for granted what I had And when I tried to help you grow I made you sad These melodies come rushing back from time to time These memories come flooding in, Raise the hairs up on my skin, Release the tears that seem to be there waiting, Once again I grieve for all our lost songs Once you sang someone else's song of freedom And it made me fall Now you choose to be silent And so I never dance, And so I've fallen to the floor And it's your turn to write your song of freedom And I'll watch with admiration as always And I'll love you while I can, I'll count the days

WANDERLUST One foot in front of the other Take one step then another Hold your head high So you can see where you’re going Feel your problems melt away Save your stress for a later day By the time you get there It won’t be so bad anyway Big skies give a clear mind With the horizon stretched out before you there’s no end to what you’ll find Deep breaths full of clean air And you’ll know wherever you’re going You can get there Heart rate increasing Pupils dilate, feasting on all of this Landscape you’re in Up to your eyeballs now Arms sway to the natural rhythm you create, body’s driven to find what’s unknown And to conquer it as your own Big skies give a clear mind With the horizon stretched out before you there’s no end to what you’ll find Deep breaths full of clean air And you’ll know wherever you’re going You can get there Let go of the routine, Let instinct guide what you want and you need, You may find It knows better than you do Feed your heart and your soul With silence centuries old, Time to think now, reveal: What in this life is real? ----

Does anyone feel this way? i don't know how not to feel so alone, even though I'm loved and I love, does anyone else feel this way? Can anyone help me out? I forget from time to time what this life is all about, even though I’ve health and I’ve wealth, can anyone else help me out? Stay with you a while see the tears behind the smile Hear me when I hold you Feel me when I say to you Love flows out with music darling we reach out with music, so when you’ve got nothing else left, there’s always a line form a song inside your head Lost in broken dreams can’t see the woods for all the trees, follow me there at dusk or dawn when the magic kingdom’s creatures sing their song Can anyone help me out? Does anyone feel this way? Tear down your defences, unearth the mysteries of the senses, and so a billion neurone fire, and somehow we have hope, joy, knowledge, fear and desire

So Many Miles So many miles away, I just find it hard to be so many miles away I'm sorry that I can't be with you now, hold your hand and tell you all the things I want to, breaks my heart to know you're leaving now, and if it turned out that you can - please come back soon Thanks for all the love you've given to me, all the joy I found in this life looking through your eyes, I hope you know that you are next to me, and every last breath that you take I take with you They say when one soul dies, another soul is born, and so I know when your soul goes, a thousand will appear, like shooting stars across the skies you'll look down on, a thousand knowing smiles will share in shedded tear ------
